Lisa Kudrow in first-look trailer for new adaptation of British cult classic
Apple TV+ has unveiled the first trailer for new series Time Bandits, starring Friends actor Lisa Kudrow, ahead of its release later this month.
Adapted from the beloved cult classic movie of the same name, the live-action comedy will centre around a ragtag group of thieves, who begin a thrilling quest to save 11-year-old Kevin's parents – and the world.
The first two episodes of the series will premiere on the streaming service on Wednesday, July 24, followed by two new episodes every week until August 21.

"Guided by Lisa Kudrow, the eccentric crew of bandits embark of epic adventures while evil forces threaten their conquests, and life as they know it," reads the official logline for the series.
"As the group transports through time and space, the gang stumbles upon fascinating worlds of the distant past while seeking out treasure, depending on Kevin to shed light on each situation.
"The 'Time Bandits' witness the creation of Stonehenge, see the Trojan Horse in action, escape dinosaurs in the prehistoric ages, wreak havoc during medieval times, experience the Ice Age, ancient civilisations and the Harlem Renaissance, and much more along the way."

The exciting trailer sees young hero Kevin, who finds himself isolated both at school and at home, turn to history books for company.
His historical fantasies soon become real when he discovers a magical portal in his wardrobe, which leads him to a gang of Viking warriors.
Kevin later encounters the Time Bandits and their enigmatic leader Penelope (Kudrow), who explains: "Your room, it's a time egress. It allows us to travel throughout the universe."

"Who are you guys?" asks Kevin, to which Penelope replies: "A crack team of expert thieves. Nothing is too big for us to steal."
The group soon encounter a challenge when a Supreme Being warns that their map can't fall into the hands of a creature who wants to create a "universe of pure evil".
Time Bandits has been created for television by Avatar: The Way of Water's Jemaine Clement, Thor director Taika Waititi and The Inbetweeners writer Iain Morris.
Clement and Waititi also set to make cameo appearances.

As well as Kudrow, the series also stars Kal-El Tuck (Unseeing Evil), Tadhg Murphy (Conversations with Friends), Roger Jean Nsengiyumva (You Don't Know Me), Rune Temte (Eddie the Eagle), Charlyne Yi (Knocked Up) and Rachel House (Heartbreak High).
Kiera Thompson (The Salisbury Poisonings), James Dryden (Ready Player One), Felicity Ward (The Office Australia), Francesca Mills (Harlots) and Imaan Hadchiti (Thor: Love and Thunder) also star.
Time Bandits will premiere on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, July 24.
