Lisa Riley took to her Twitter account yesterday to show off her slimmer frame after losing a whopping six stone in ten months, and she has now revealed exactly how she went about it.
And it wasn’t just by cutting out the Pringles - who she affectionately dubs “my devil”.
The star has gone from a size 30 to a size 16 but sensationally claims that she hasn’t been on “a diet”, instead attributing her weight loss success to exercise and giving up alcohol.
She told Bella magazine: “I’ve not done a diet - diets don’t work.
"It’s been about awareness and lifestyle. I’m loads more active than I used to be. I get up at 6am, and before I shower I do a 40-minute walk, and at night I do zumba. I do yoga a lot too. Rather than take a lift, I’ll run up the stairs.
"I don’t eat after 6pm, and what I’m putting in my body is not what I’ve put in my body for years. I’ve not drunk alcohol for a long time now.
"I pat myself on the back every day not a drop passes my lips. I don’t think it ever will again.”
The former Emmerdale actress went on to quip that even her fans no longer recognise her, adding: “In Marks & Spencer a lovely old dear said: ‘I thought you were Lisa Riley but she’s miles f*cking fatter than you!’
"I recently saw two of my best mates for the first time in six weeks, and their reaction was incredible. And the other day a friend who’d not seen me for three years actually screamed.”
Lisa revealed that was motivated to lose weight when she got a reality check back in 2012 after her mother sadly passed away from cancer and her dad had a cancer scare before being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.
She explained: “Losing my mum then seeing Dad wired up and nearly losing him was a shock. I don’t want to be a statistic. I want my health to carry on, to live my life to the fullest.”
We reckon all of Lisa’s hard work has definitely paid off.
