Speaking to Belfast Live, manager of the new store Jane Hodgers said: "We are really concentrating on quality wear - ladieswear and menswear, shoes, handbags etc. We have a little bit of Guess, some Ralph Lauren, we have Valentino, we have all of the high street labels as well."

She added: "This is really a call out to get our community to support this charity in what we do. Concern, whilst we are 3% of the UK population here in Northern Ireland, we raise 50 percent of their funds through our shops and our fundraising initiatives... helping the poorest people in 26 countries globally who are suffering food insecurity and war.

"We really would love the people of this area to come together and support us to raise vital funds."

On how to donate items Jane said: "You can come in over the doorstep. We are open six days a week, and ideally, we're looking for clothing, accessories, a bit of bric-a-brac, but we will take everything and we do have other stores to feed to if it's not suitable for this.

"We're just very grateful for your support. And if it's not items of clothing, you know, get involved, volunteer, offer a bit of your time, there are so many ways to help."

On the reaction to the new boutique so far, Jane continued: "It's been incredible, incredible. Everybody's really rallied around. They've been coming to the window… the gasp of surprise when they saw the window display and then realised… we [are] charity.

"This is some of it, pre-loved, some of it almost new, but presentation is everything.

"We do curate our stock very carefully here, items can be repaired, everything is cleaned, sized correctly, curated together in looks so you can literally come in and lift your size - your look, head to toe."

The new store is located at Unit 2, Ferndale House, 561 Lisburn Road, BT9 7GQ.
