Major flood warning for seaside town lifted but other alerts still in place

A major flood warning in a seaside town has been lifted. Natural Resources Wales still has dozens of flood alerts in place, where flooding is "possible"(full list of sites below).

Yesterday evening they a flood warning for parts of Pwllheli on the Llyn Peninsula. This was for Riverside Terrace and the A499, the main road through the town.

NRW said that river levels were rising and the high tide means that water can't flow into the sea. They said that "flooding to property is expected"

But this morning they lifted the flood warning message as water receded.

There is still a major warning in place on the River V yrnwy.

Flood warning:

River Vyrnwy at Llanymynech: River levels are rising again due to overnight rainfall. Flooding to property is expected. Flooding of low-lying land and roads is ongoing. Impacts are expected to occur today. The B4398 near the canal at New Bridge, Llanymynech could be affected by flooding. The B4398 near the canal at new bridge, Llanymynech, the A483 between Llanymynech and Four Crosses, just south of Llanymynech and minor roads in the area could be affect by flooding. The River Vyrnwy at Llanymynech is expected to rise until approximately 6pm on Sunday 24th November.

River Alyn at Rhyd-y-goleu, Parts of the village, including Holland Farm, Holland Cottages and the A541: River levels are rising. The rainfall is forecast to continue until approximately 08:00am Sunday morning

Communities, businesses and isolated properties along the River Dee including Erbistock, Plas Devon, Almere and Trevalyn Meadows: River levels are rising

Pontblyddyn, Parts of the village along the A541 adjacent to the river: River levels are rising. The rainfall is forecast to continue until approximately 8am on Sunday morning.

Properties around Pont ar Ddyfi and the A487: River levels are rising. Flooding to property is possible. Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. The minor road south of the Pont-ar-Ddyfi bridge may become impassable. The rainfall is forecast to continue until approximately 7 o'clock this evening.

Areas around the river Dysynni from Tywyn to Minffordd: Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. Rainfall is currently affecting this area. River Levels are above normal levels.

Riverside Terrace and the A499, Pwllheli: River levels are rising. Tide locked conditions downstream of Riverside Terrace, Pwllheli are causing river levels to rise. Flooding to property is possible. Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected.

Parts of Rossett, including Burton Road, Station Road, The Copse, Chester Road and properties adjacent to Mill Leat: River levels are rising. The rainfall is forecast to continue until approximately 8am on Sunday morning.

Areas around the river Alyn from Llandegla to Rossett: Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. Rainfall is currently affecting this area. River Levels are above normal levels.

Areas around the river Dyfi, from Dinas Mawddwy and Llanbrynmair to the estuary, including Machynlleth: Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. Rainfall is currently affecting this area. River Levels are above normal levels.

Parts of Dolgellau from Arran Road to Pont Pandy'r-odyn, including Eldon Square and Marian Mawr Enterprise Park: River levels are rising. Flooding to property is possible. Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. The rainfall is forecast to continue throughout the day.

River Conwy at Gwydir Road: Areas of agricultural land and isolated properties in the Conwy Valley. River levels are rising. Flooding to property is possible. Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. Flooding is possible for Gwydir Road and B5106 between Llanrwst and Trefriw. The rainfall is forecast to continue throughout the day.

Parts of Beddgelert along the River Colwyn and River Glaslyn including Dolfair, Caernarfon Road, Gwynant Street, Sygun Terrace and Church Street: River levels are rising. Flooding to property is possible. Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. The rainfall is forecast to continue throughout today.

Areas around the rivers of North West Wales, from Abergwyngregyn to Aberdaron: Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. Rainfall is currently affecting this area. River Levels are above normal levels.

Parts of the village Abererch near Pont Abererch, including Glan Erch and Post Office Terrace: River levels are rising. Flooding to property is possible. Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. The rainfall is forecast to continue throughout the day.

Glaslyn and Dwyryd Catchment: Areas around the river Glaslyn and river Dwyryd, from Dyffryn Ardudwy to Nant Gwynant. Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. Rainfall is currently affecting this area. River Levels will be above normal levels.

Areas around the river Conwy from Dolwyddelan to Conwy: Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. Rainfall is currently affecting this area. River Levels will be above normal levels.

Nant Barrog at Llanfair Talhaiarn: Parts of the village including properties on Water Street, Swan Square and School Lane. River levels are rising. The weather conditions are expected to deteriorate.
