North Wales Police have warned drivers about travelling today and Storm Bert is having an impact on our roads. The force put out a statement on Friday evening.

They said roads were already wet after rain and sleet on Friday. This will be followed by torrential rain and high winds today. They urged drivers to consider waiting to travel until the weather eases on Saturday.

They said: "Following showery spells of rain and sleet across many parts of North Wales today, large amounts of surface water has been reported across some of the region’s roads. And with Storm Bert bringing substantial rainfall and perhaps more snow to North Wales tomorrow, as well as a yellow weather warning for high winds for most of the region, dangerous conditions are expected on the roads."
