A dog rescue charity is searching for a new home for a dog, after her family said they no longer wanted her.

Mylie is a four-year-old Shih Tzu with a lovely temperament and she is in good health.

She was given up as 'unwanted' and taken in by Causeway Coast Dog rescue.

Maggie Dimsdale-Bobby is looking after Mylie until a new home can be found her her. Maggie said: "She is a bright and energetic little dog who is loving and very well behaved. She loves company and playing with other dogs and she would make the perfect companion in the right home.

"These little dogs who are given up a unwanted, face an uncertain future and can very little to help themselves.

"Mylie is a beautiful looking dog, an unusual colouring of her coat and has the typical Shih Tzu character, she's gentle, fun-loving and enjoys spending time in company.

"If you think you could adopt and give them a forever home, please call us 07595 602702 for more information and to discuss adoption of this special little pup."
