Little Mix's Jesy Nelson brands Piers Morgan a 'silly t***' live on Radio 1 after he slams naked Strip photo

Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson hit out at Piers Morgan’s comments on their naked photoshoot, branding him a “silly t***”.

Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirwall, who have just released their latest album LM5, appeared on Radio 1’s afternoon show with Nick Grimshaw to discuss all things music.

But the DJ couldn’t resist asking them about the reaction to their naked promo shot for Strip and especially comments made by Morgan on Good Morning Britain where he slammed the image.

Asked if Morgan’s comments surprised them, Nelson replied: “Of course not, he’s a silly t***”, as the other girls gasped before the singer squeaked out an apology.”

Grimshaw told listeners: “Language! You can’t swear Jesy! Apologies for the offensive language… on the BBC…”

And the swearing kept on coming as the girls talked about media coverage, with them admitting that the only thing that “p***** them off is when positives are turned into a negative”.

Minutes later, Morgan responded to Nelson’s taunt by inviting the group, who rose to fame on The X Factor, onto the ITV morning show for a chat.

He tweeted: “If you're brave enough @LittleMix - come on @GMB tomorrow & say when you've just been saying about me on Radio One to my face.

“Then we can debate your cynical exploitation of nudity to sell records.”

Earlier on Monday, Morgan blasted the naked promo shot released to tie in with the new album as he accused them of “using sex to sell records”.

“Oh god these people,” he said on kicking off Monday’s Good Morning Britain. “What is empowering about this? I mean seriously – get your kit off, airbrush yourself to within one inch of your lives and put a bunch of horrible words on yourself.

“What’s the point of it other than using nudity to sell albums? It’s stripping off to sell records. It’s using sex to sell records – that’s it there’s nothing else to that. I don’t get it.”
