Little Mix Hit Back At Bodyshaming: ‘We Like To Eat Food - Deal With It’ - EXCLUSIVE

The four members of Little Mix have always been joint number one when it comes to our list of girlcrushes, inspirations, and people that give us even more Girl Power than the Spice Girls, and when we caught up with them to chat about their new single, ‘Love Me Like You’, they did not disappoint.

The day after their out-of-this-world performance at Apple Music Festival, the girls are obviously on a high - and as they munch their way through packets of crisps throughout our interview, we know for a fact that they most definitely mean what they are about to say about bodyshaming.

Kicking off with a discussion about The X Factor, Perrie Edwards tells us: “I love Cheryl, she’s incredible.

“She’s just wonderful to look at, isn’t she? Do y’know what I say to those bodyshamers? F*ck off and leave my Chezza alone.”

Cor, you tell ‘em, Pez - talk about not holding back.

When asked if they ever feel the same kind of body image pressures that Ms. Fernandez-Versini has opened up about in the past, all four of the gals are quick to agree, with Jesy Nelson taking the lead.

The absolutely gorgeous Jesy famously broke down in tears during the band’s 2011 stint on The X Factor after she read incredibly cruel, and not at all true, nasty comments about herself online.

Lesson 1, babes, never search your name on the Internet.

Four years later and the star is practically bursting with confidence and sass, as she tells us: “We just try to forget about any nasty comments really.

“We like to eat food and so does everybody else, and if we put on weight we put on weight and if we lose weight we lose weight.

“Everybody has this preconception that you’re supposed to be perfect looking but nobody is perfect.”

Is anybody else standing up and applauding? Or is that just us?

Speaking about their much-anticipated, upcoming album, Get Weird, Little Mix also revealed that it’s not just their legions of fans who are sick of waiting for the record to fi-na-lly hit the shelves.

Perrie told us: “We literally can’t wait for it all to come out now, it’s annoying.

“We’ve lived with it for so long and we just want to get it out there now. I listen to it every second of every day, I absolutely love it.

“I just can’t wait for it to be released, we are so proud of it and can’t wait for people to hear it.”

Trust us when we say that we can’t wait to hear it either.

In fact, November 6th can’t come soon enough…

Little Mix’s single ‘Love Me Like You’ is out NOW and their album, Get Weird, is due to be released on November 6th.
