Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall ‘splits from boyfriend Jed Elliot' after three years together

Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall has ‘split’ from boyfriend Jed Elliott,28, after three and a half years together.

The 26-year-old - who began dating The Struts star in February 2016 – has reportedly struggled with their long distance relationship due to their hectic touring and work schedules.

A source told MailOnline: “Jade and Jed have decided to end the relationship.

“There is honestly no big drama, it has just sadly run its course.”

The insider added that The Struts are constantly touring the US and that Thirwall is busy with Little Mix.

“The split is amicable and they remain mates.”

Elliott is currently touring the States, Japan and Australia until October, when the band has dates in the UK – but Thirlwall will then be hitting the road on the LM5 tour across Europe before jetting to Australia in December.

The reports come after Thirlwall sparked concern for her relationship when she started crying during an intimate gig in London last year.

The four-piece were performing their hit single Only You when a visibly emotional Thirlwall struggled to sing as she fought back tears at the Dalston event.

The star went to sing the lyric “One brick at a time we watched it fall” but faltered midway as bandmates Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock encouraged fans to sing for them.

She later told the audience she needed “tissues for her issues” as she was pulled in for a hug.

Her outburst in November came days after she posted an Instagram story about wanting to “dig a hole to hide from all my problems,” parking fears she is on the verge of splitting from her boyfriend.

At the time one fan tweeted: “Jade is breaking my heart on the Little Mix Apple Music thing, has she broke up with her man?”

Another wrote: “#LittleMixLive what if Jade is crying because she’s broke up with Jed??”
