Little Mix's Perrie Edwards has recalled the time she accidentally sent an X-rated message to her ex-boyfriend's father.

While promoting the band's latest single 'Holiday' on The Jonathan Ross Show, the singer described the moment she realised her "naughty" messages didn't go to her intended recipient as one of the "most mortifying" of her life.

"I sent a selfie of my face and loads of messages. I can't even say [what the messages said]. Like really naughty ones. Like really, really naughty messages," the 27-year-old said, her mind clearly wandering back.

"His mam messaged the next day to say, 'The iCloud is still connected'. It was the most mortifying thing ever, but kind of funny."

Perrie, who was once engaged to One Direction's Zayn Malik, is currently dating Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The pair went public with their relationship back in 2017.

Elsewhere on the show, Perrie was asked whether she would ever propose to her boyfriend.

Referencing fellow guest Joe Wicks's story about his romantic proposal in the Maldives, Perrie added: "I'd like it to be the traditional way. I hope he's watching this and heard Joe's incredible story. Four years we've been together!"

The Jonathan Ross Show continues next Saturday (November 28) at 9.35pm on ITV.
