Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock flees Capital FM interview

Little Mix are no stranger to pranking radio hosts but this time it was Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s chance to flex her acting skills today during a chat on Capital FM.

The 25-year-old singer stormed out of an interview with host Roman Kemp moments after they were quizzed on whether they gave their ex-boyfriends notice before releasing new track ‘Shout Out To My Ex’.

Listeners were expecting the personal question to hit a nerve with Perrie Edwards, whose former fiancé Zayn Malik dumped her by text message last year, but it was Leigh-Anne who flew into a rage as her pals tried to calm her down.

She said: “Bit inappropriate isn’t it? It gets on my nerves though, when people ask things like that. Like, why? We’re not here to talk about exes. And I know the song’s called that, but it’s just like … talk about how it’s a positive thing. Not … do you know what I mean?”

She added: “It’s just annoying though isn’t it? Just do it without me because I’m … whatever.”

Perrie then said: “I think she’s having a bad day.”

Thankfully the singer strolled back into the studio moments later with a huge cheeky grin and a choir to sing to the 23-year-old radio DJ, who breathed a sigh of relief as he realised he’d been set up by the girls.

Last year, the foursome walked out on an interview with Jackie O after they made the Aussie radio host - who cried during the prank - believe she’d upset Jade Thirlwall by asking questions about pop star Justin Bieber.

‘Shout Out to My Ex’ contains lyrics seemingly about Zayn such as: “Hope she gettin’ better sex, Hope she ain’t fakin’ it like I did, babe.

"Took four long years to call it quits, Forget that boy I’m over it.

"Guess I should say thank you, For the ‘hate yous’ and the tattoos, Oh baby I’m cool by the way, Ain’t sure I loved you anyway.”
