Death toll in Israeli raids on West Bank city of Jenin rises to 10

The death toll in Israel’s massive military operation in Jenin in the occupied West Bank rose to 10 late Tuesday, the Ramallah-based Palestinian health ministry said. Israel’s Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu announced the raids on Tuesday morning, saying they were aimed at “eradicating terrorism”. Follow our liveblog for the latest developments.

  • Palestinian Emergency Services said on Monday that a search is under way for thousands of Palestinians believed buried under rubble, as Gaza's residents expressed shock at the devastation on the second day of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
