Microsoft misses slightly on revenue, but its all-important cloud business is stronger than ever (MSFT)

Microsoft stock is down about 3 percent after hours, following the release of an earnings report showing that the tech titan met or beat Wall Street expectations.

Investors are looking for signs of growth in Microsoft's cloud computing businesses. Plus, this was the first full quarter since Microsoft's $26.2 billion LinkedIn acquisition closed, giving us our first glimpse into how they're playing together.
