The Traitors final saw paranoia set in as Jake and Leanne won the prize money out of the final five contestants.

The prize money was at more than £94,000, split fairly between the last two Faithfuls standing in front of the firepit outside the castle.

Faithful Jake was named the favourite to walk away with the huge cash prize in Friday's finale, according to bookies BetIdeas, and everyone was right. The lead up to the win was dramatic, with the paranoia setting in and tearing the Faithfuls apart.

After newly recruited Traitor Freddie was banished, Charlotte had to tell The Seer Frankie that her true identity that she was a Traitor. A fierce row broke out between them, with Charlotte and Frankie ending in tears. The group were all in agreement to banish Charlotte but the new rule meant that they wouldn't find out whether she was a Traitor or a Faithful.

Nerves heightened and tensions flared, the Faithfuls were all in agreement that there must be one secret Traitor among them. There wasn't. They proceeded to banish Alexander and Frankie, both of whom were Faithful, leaving Jake and Leanne at the end.

Leanne did have one final secret to tell, she had never worked at a nail salon, she is a former solider. Jack was visibly shocked, "You are joking? You are the toughest one in here." He told her as they embraced, celebrating their joint win.

The role of The Seer changed the direction of the game completely in a twist never seen before on the UK version of the show. Some fans have expressed their fears The Seer has "ruined" the final.

  • Rules for the final vote

The rules are simple. The group must individually make up their minds on whether they want to end the game or whether they believe there is still a Traitor in the game.

  • The final four are Faithful

The final four are all Faithful. Frankie, Leanne, Alexander and Jake.

"Traitor Charlotte has been caught so close to the end," Claudia says. "They were right. But they don't know that. Will paranoia set in? Or will they stick together as a four?"

  • Charlotte leaves the game

Alexander says Charlotte is the Traitor. "It's been an absolute playing with you," he says.

  • Frankie puts the fire on Charlotte

Frankie makes her case at the roundtable.

The interior designer takes aim at Charlotte but not without kindness, saying she believes her tears are genuine.

"I think your tears are genuine," she says. "I think you really struggle at being a Traitor now. I pray you were recruited. Every time I said you were a Faithful. I hope that was the case."

"I'm gutted this has happened," Charlotte says.

  • One person to be banished

The final roundtable is about to begin. One person is to be banished. The prize money left is £94,600.

  • Leanne questions if Frankie is cruel

Leanne tells Frankie she is really cruel if she's a Traitor.

Frankie compares the two of them, saying they have had a lot of shared experience. She says: "Having babies. Being ill. Having to strive is harder."

"You deserve a biscuit," she tells the group. Although the mission was terrifying, she says the roundtable will be even scarier.

  • Frankie is terrified of heights in mission

Frankie and Alexander are the next duo to take to the air.

The mother of four however is scared because she hates heights. The two are lifted into the air via a helicopter. Before the heart-stopping moment, Frankie confesses her fears.

"I hate heights," Frankie says. "I struggle on a ladder. I like to be on the earth. I don't want to let the team down. I'm just going to do it."

She grips on hard to Alexander's hand and tells him: "I'm a Faithful."

  • The mission is underway

    It's mission impossible!

Leanne is pretending to be terrified while being dangled out of a helicopter, when in reality she used to be in the army.

Jake is also in the air, strapped to Leanne.

Charlotte is on the walkie talkie, guiding them to drop the bags into the ring of fire. When they get the drops into the ring, they get to add to the prize money.

  • Charlotte continues the tears

Moments after planting the seeds in Leanne's mind about Alexander, she is turning to the former diplomat to say that she is a Faithful. She is in tears and then begs for space. Hands over her face, she tries to convince him she needs to be on her own.

  • Tears in the castle

Alexander comforts Frankie while crying Charlotte is reassured by Leanne.

The former diplomat reveals the outcome is what he feared.

"I half suspected we would get this outcome," Alexander says. "How much do people trust her? How much do people trust Charlotte?"

Meanwhile, Charlotte is trying to convince Leanne of what happened — telling lies. In a piece to camera, she admits she has to turn herself against her best friend in the castle. Who will win in this war of words?

  • Row breaks out

    Tension is rising in breakfast.

Frankie's eyes are on stalks and Leanne picks up on it immediately. "Her face, her face," she mouths to Jake.

"How did your meeting go last night?" Jake directly asks Frankie and Charlotte.

"Anyone going to address the elephant in the room?" Leanne asks.

Charlotte tells the story with all the drama. Charlotte lies: "Opens it up, saw I was a Faithful. The way you're behaving you're going to spin it. She's being off with me already."

Faithful Frankie tells the truthful. "She said, I'm a Traitor," she said. "You're literally lying."

  • Breakfast begins

The stars are all arriving for breakfast. Jake, Alexander and Leanne are the first to be at breakfast.

Frankie is ready to fight, with the knowledge that Charlotte is a Traitor. "I'm just going to be myself," she said. "I'm going to be as convincing as I can with the truth that I have."

  • Frankie reacts to Charlotte's Traitor reveal

Frankie reacts to Charlotte's Traitor reveal.

"Oh my God," Frankie says. She has her face in her hands. "It's a shock to my heart."

Frankie bursts into tears. "I'm not a Traitor on the outside of this all," Charlotte reassures her. "The game continues.

"You say I'm the Traitor aren't you," Frankie says. "Oh my God."

Charlotte admitted: "I don't know, this is a secret meeting with no evidence." Frankie then burned the evidence.

"I've never burned a secret before."

  • Frankie and Charlotte meet in secret

The secret is meeting is underway. Charlotte heads down the corridor to meet The Seer, Frankie, away from the crowd. The tension is building. "I just need to know one way or another," Frankie says. "Is Charlotte a Traitor or a Faithful?"

She asked Charlotte point blank why do you think she has been asked. Charlotte is on the money. "I've never doubted you," Frankie said. "It's literally... I need to know. I need to know where I stand with you."

Frankie's hands flutter over the envelope. "Honestly, I don't know why I feel so nervous," she said. Charlotte has yet to give the game away, not revealing she's a Traitor.

  • The Traitors finale is underway

The best quotes from this series are played out over the credits.

Among them, Jakes iconic words: "These Traitors are some sick people!"

Will The Faithful be able to beat the Traitor in the finale? Who will take home the prize fund? The final five have everything to play for.

  • Meet Charlotte - one of the final five on The Traitors

Charlotte has lifted the lid on what it is like to get this far in The Traitors.

Did you think you would make it to the final five in the competition?

Never. Literally, never. I don't think you can go into The Traitors ever thinking you're going to win. That's why, whenever anyone has asked me, 'what would you do with the prize money?' it was hard to even imagine. It's nice to speculate, just like you might speculate what you would do if you won the lottery or something. But it's not something you ever expect to happen. There are so many forces in play. I think it's part luck, part skill, part randomness - part ruthlessness?!

What would winning the show mean to you?

Winning the show would be amazing. I think it would be really cool to have a recruited Traitor winning, because that is something that hasn't been done before in the UK version of the game. Without sounding too cliché, the experience is what I wanted, so I already feel I have won. I've come into this experience to play the game, meet new people, create new friendships and hopefully have an overall positive experience.

Throughout this experience have you learnt anything about yourself?

I have learnt that if I ever do another TV show, I probably (read - most definitely!) won't do it with a fake Welsh accent. It has been exhausting, and I think I may have permanently rewired my brain. But perhaps it has paid off after all?!

But seriously, behind the chatty facade I am quite a self-doubter and this whole experience has been something I'm truly proud of myself for. I've built genuine relationships with the other players and been able to show people my true self - even within a game of deception. I'm proud of my resilience when I've defended myself at the Round Table and really tried to play the game in its truest sense.

Harry Clark stole more than £95,000 in The Traitors series two final.

He persuaded his friend Mollie to banish Jaz before revealing to her that he was a Traitor at the end of the game, prompting her to storm out crying.

Later, Harry celebrated his win with host Claudia Winkleman. He said: "You come here and there are 22 amazing people, from the off I've been a Traitor. I've had enough of being naughty, being bad."

With Winkleman he shouted: "I'm the best Traitor in the world." Then he said: "I hope Mollie didn't hear that." His words "I'm the best Traitor in the world" played out over the opening credits for series three.

  • Meet finalist Jake from The Traitors 2025

Jake is one of the five finalists on The Traitors and here he has shared his experience in his own words.

What has been the best moment of the experience so far and was it as you’d imagined?

I don’t think you can beat the feeling of getting a Traitor out. Getting Linda out was a highlight of mine because I had been hunting her from day one! That feeling of joy when we got her out was a magical feeling.

What were your expectations coming into the show?

I didn’t really know what to expect, I was just going in to be myself and make as many friends as I could and be as flexible and adaptable as I could be. I wanted to be alert with what was to come. Always expect the unexpected was my motto going into the game. Never get complacent and try and make sure you’re aware of what’s going on around you.

Jake is on The Traitors. (Studio Lambert)
Jake is on The Traitors. (Studio Lambert)

Did you think you would make it to the final five in the competition?

Not in a million years. I thought I’d be lucky to get past the first week. It helps when you spot a Traitor early on. I knew I needed luck, but a lot of it is building friendships and relationships and there is also a bit of skill involved, finding Traitors and being good at Missions - but I didn’t expect to get this far so I’m pretty lucky.

Throughout this experience have you learnt anything about yourself?

I’ve realised how resilient I am as a person. I’ve learnt that you need to understand people and their different personalities and how that impacts their decision making. There are a lot of different emotions throughout the competition and trying to control how I’m feeling was something I didn’t realise I could do as well.

  • Why The Traitors are twice as likely to win than the Faithfuls

The Traitors are almost twice as likely to win the murder mystery game show, according to the history of the show.

There are plenty of secrets in The Traitors, but it's clear that The Traitors wield most the power in the game. So do the Faithful stand a fair chance of winning? This year, The Traitors UK's line-up includes a priest and an ex-soldier.

Odds are stacked highly against the Faithfuls, yet it is even more stark when looking back at how the two teams have performed across all 51 versions of the reality series globally.

The Traitors have had 31 wins including one in the UK. This compares to The Faithfuls who have won just 17 times across the various show formats, also including one in the UK, making Traitors pretty much twice more likely to win.

However, the extraordinary power of The Seer changes everything.

The Faithfuls were the first team to win The Traitors.

Faithfuls Aaron Evans, Hannah Byczkowski and Meryl Williams triumphed in season one after voting Wilf Webster out of the castle. After banished and newly recruited Traitor Kieran heavily hinted that Wilf was a Traitor, the Faithfuls voted him out of the game just incase. And they were right too.

There was no bad blood though because Wilf was relieved the Faithful caught him at the last moment.

"It was the biggest relief I've ever had," Wilf told Yahoo in 2023. "I was just like, 'Oh my god that was a fun game.' It's like playing monopoly for like however many days. Thank god that's over, I'm so tired."

He added: "No regrets at all, everyone would say it's so cheesy I say that but I feel it was perfect. I think the game I played was exactly how I wanted to play it. I didn't want to come across like a horrible person because I'm not. I think losing and then not actually caring, people saw I was just in this game."

  • The Traitors fans fear final has been 'ruined' after Seer twist

Claudia Winkleman and The Traitors castle. (Studio Lambert)

The Traitors fans have said the Seer twist has "drained" the tension out of the BBC show's final.

The penultimate episode of the series saw Frankie win the power to demand one other player reveal their true identity to her. She picked Charlotte, who is the only Traitor left in the game, setting up a dramatic showdown for the final episode on Friday.

As Charlotte is the only remaining Traitor, many viewers have said they can't see how it can be anything other than a Faithful win now.

Many fans believe that once the identity of the final Traitor has been revealed, the Faithful will definitely win and that the twist has taken the drama out of the final.

"So now I don't even need to watch tomorrow because I know it's going to be a Faithful win…… Like okay ruined now," one person said on X.

"I can't see anything other than a Faithful win," somebody else wrote on the platform. "They'll likely banish Charlotte, or Charlotte & Frankie, and win. The Seer makes a good reveal moment, but might have drained any end game tension."

Another fan asked: "Genuine question, why is this Seer thing a good thing for the show??? The final is ruined no?"

  • Alexander is one of the final five on The Traitors

Alexander has made the final of The Traitors and he has shared an insight into his experience.

What has been the best moment of the experience so far and was it as you’d imagined?

I think the best part is the relationships that I've made inside the game, which I will take out the game, no matter what. There is an intensity to playing it, and a connection we have that I think is pretty unique, and that was one of the main things I've always wanted out of it, a sense of cohort collegiate-ness, and I've got it, so that's brilliant. I also feel like I've taken a lot of self-learning out of it. A day inside the game is worth a month of learning about yourself outside of it! I also look back with great fondness on the Death Match and the cages and the train, because I survived, and I'm proud of that.

Alexander is in the final five of The Traitors. (BBC)
Alexander is in the final five of The Traitors. (BBC)

Did you think you would make it to the final five in the competition?

I didn't really think about how far I'd get in the game. A friend of mine when I applied said to me that she thought I'd either go out in the first couple of episodes or make it quite far. I think she was pretty astute - I did both! In retrospect, I'm really glad I missed the first few days because we all have so little to go on that anyone can be targeted.

Throughout this experience have you learnt anything about yourself?

I think that my face is way more leaky than even I thought! It turned out it's even worse. I've always struggled to be somebody who shows their emotions, not least because when my brother died, it was so overwhelming, so deeply emotional, that I just I struggled to go back there. I try to shut all that off and I always think that if I make the best choices, I can avoid ever having to feel like that again. I think the game has really taught me of the importance of being vulnerable. I think that's something I learnt over the course of the game, that being messy and human and vulnerable is how you actually connect with people, and it's something I'll try to do more of.

  • Leanne opens up about heading into The Traitors final

Leanne has fought tooth and nail to be in the final five, here is what she had to say about the experience.

What has been the best moment of the experience so far and was it as you’d imagined?

It was a lot harder than I imagined emotionally. I came into the game really, really wanting to be a Traitor, but I found it hard enough being a Faithful. So, I know how difficult I would have found it as a Traitor, because of the relationships that you build along the way, the friendships, it would be so hard to stab a friend in the back. That's what we are now, we’re friends. My favourite part outside the game, is the friendships that I've made, because genuinely, they are going to be friends for life, more so like family. My favourite part in the game is the amount of shields I've won. I’m very proud of that.

Leanne is one of the finalists on The Traitors. (Studio Lambert)
Leanne is one of the finalists on The Traitors. (Studio Lambert)

What were your expectations coming into the show?

It was harder than I imagined. When I came in, I felt a little bit out of my depth, because there's so many huge personalities, and I never considered myself as a big personality. So, I did feel a little bit like, woah, at the beginning, and then every day for me was just surviving. I never imagined getting as far as I did. So, every day I just wanted to make it to breakfast. I wanted to complete another mission and that's all I had in my head. Before I knew it we were at the final.

Did you think you would make it to the final five in the competition?

Genuinely I had no idea, I really didn’t. My goal was to make it to one breakfast and one Mission, that’s how low my expectations were!

Throughout this experience have you learnt anything about yourself?

Maybe I need to have a bit more confidence in myself, that maybe I do belong in places a bit more, and I can do more than I think I can. I think I’m good at putting on a front. I did feel like, as the days went on, I got more and more confident. With that first day there I was just wondering how did I even get here? How have I even been picked? And then every day, I settled more and more and built the friendships that I did and then grew more confident.

Minah narrowly missed out on The Traitors final. (Studio Lambert)

The Traitors' Minah Shannon told Yahoo about her hopes of winning the BBC show, saying: "I'd bought myself my winning dress. What a waste of time!"

Some viewers of the BBC show claimed Minah was "robbed" after she was voted out at the roundtable, just days before the final.

She told Yahoo: "Honestly, I thought I was winning The Traitors, the second last day I was convinced. I thought, 'This is it.'

"And the thing is, I manifest. I'd manifested that I was gonna be Traitor and I was gonna win. I'd even bought myself my winning dress. What a waste of time!

"I'm not even gonna lie, I was convinced I was winning — until I was banished. Until that day, I thought I had a really good chance.

"Obviously, now watching it, people were starting to be suspicious of me, like Freddie had mentioned my name, and Frankie, and so watching it, maybe I was deluded to think that I was winning but I genuinely, while I was there, I thought, 'Yeah, I'll be in the final.'

"The way I wanted to play the game is how I've played it — and maybe that just means you can't win the show trying to play it as a team player. Because Faithful or Traitor, it is a selfish game and all 25 of us wanted to win. And maybe I wasn’t willing to do what it took to win."

  • Meet Frankie or Francesca - one of the final five on The Traitors

Frankie is one of the final five on The Traitors and here is what she has had to say about her experience so far. She also is one of the most powerful players, now she has been given the role of The Seek which allows her to find out the true identity of Charlotte — the last remaining Traitor in the game.

What has been the best moment of the experience so far and was it as you’d imagined?

I think the Missions have been some of the best experiences, just because I was really worried about doing them and whether I would be fit enough or be able to do them and I really surprised myself. They were just so much fun and I really enjoyed being part of a team.

Frankie on The Traitors. (Studio Lambert)

Did you think you would make it to the final five in the competition?

I hoped and hoped I would get towards the end, but I didn’t think I would make it into the final five. At the beginning I looked around and I thought I’m not going to make it through the first day; everyone is really impressive.

Throughout this experience have you learnt anything about yourself?

I’ve learnt so much about myself. I’ve learnt that in some cases I can sometimes underestimate myself, but I can push myself, like I did in the Missions, and do in everyday life. I’ve also learnt that my way of playing the game was to be myself and to be kind and caring and actually that goes a long way.

The Traitors contestants had added to the prize pot meaning the winning money now stands at £73,600 as we head into the finale.

After Freddie's banishment, there are five people left competing for the money: Alexander, Charlotte, Frankie, Leanne and Jake. There is only one Traitor left among them, Charlotte who has also been called to meet Frankie for a secret meeting to reveal her true identity to The Seer. Not because Frankie was suspicious of her but because she was her closest ally.

If Charlotte wins, she would win all the prize money to herself. However, if the Faithfuls overcome the Traitor, they will split the prize pot between the remaining group (except Charlotte).

How do the stars plan to spend the money if they win?

Faithful Alexander said: "Part of it I'd give to a charity called The Royal Mencap Society – my brother used to go to a Mencap holiday every year and it gives respite for parents so that special needs kids can have a holiday and so can parents, which was awesome. I was a carer at Mencap five years running and I really enjoyed it, my brother really enjoyed it and my parents got a break too and I'd like to help bankroll that a bit."

Traitor Charlotte said: "We're looking at going through fertility treatment soon, so money towards that would be great. A. safari holiday would be incredible because why not celebrate if I win! And we've recently moved so I would love to redecorate and bring all my saved inspo pictures to life."

Faithful Frankie said: "When I was a single mum, I had a difficult time, and then people started to say, ‘Oh, I like the way you’ve done your house. Can you come and do my house?’ The requests kept coming and soon I was designing for stately homes and hotels. So it was a strange experience, but I was to able build a business and provide for my kids, and that's always been my motivation. Although, I would quite like a nice handbag!"

Faithful Jake said: "I’d want to treat my wife and my mum and dad to a nice big holiday to just show my appreciation of them, for everything they’ve done for me. And then on top of that, I'd like to put some money into my house, because I didn’t realise before I bought a house that it's just money draining! There are so many things I ought to do to the house, but there's just no money there, so I'd like to put some towards that."

Faithful Leanne said: "[Winning would mean] everything. It gives us another chance to have another baby and expand our family. It’s something for my little boys to look back at in a couple of years and think, wow, my mum did that."

Freddie was the last to be banished from The Traitors. (BBC)

Newly recruited Traitor Freddie Fraser told Yahoo why he was glad to be banished before the BBC show's final.

Aged 20, the politics student was the youngest player in The Traitors 2025 but he built strong friendships in the Scottish castle — especially with Frankie and Leanne who become like his mum and best friend while filming.

He told Yahoo: "I would have started crying if I stole the money from someone. I'm kind of glad I didn't make the final.

"I didn't want to be a Traitor when Charlotte asked me to be one but obviously you kind of get no choice in that situation. So I was already like thinking, ‘Oh my God, no, I don't want to lie to these people’ because you build up such close relationships and strong bonds.

"Honestly so much in there is about having good friendships and solid relationships because without them you generally wouldn't be able to even get by in the game to begin with. It's stressful in there, so having people that are there for you, that give you hugs, it's lovely."

  • How does The Traitors final work? Rules and new twist explained

The Traitors finale is looming; current Traitor Charlotte will hope to snatch the prize money in the final after backstabbing long-time Traitor Minah and newly recruited Freddie.

In the final, she faces the Faithfuls: Alexander, Leanne, Jake and Frankie.

Last year's jaw-dropping final saw Harry Clark win £95,000 when he betrayed friend Mollie Pearce — leaving her sobbing and storming out of the room after finding out he was in fact a Traitor.

When you thought TV couldn't get more dramatic than that, think again.

From the outset of series three, its host Claudia Winkleman revealed the stakes were higher than ever. The two previous finals have seen the contestants have to share whether they are a Faithful or a Traitor, leading to speculation of how many possible Traitors could be left in the game.

This year, the Traitor has the advantage that the group no longer can disclose whether they are a Traitor or a Faithful when they leave. Of course, this changes everything. The revelation about the final left the players at the first roundtable, and viewers at home, shocked.

Then there's The Seer twist. The group fought to win the most coins in the challenge in the bid to win a special power, the role of The Seer. Alexander knew he didn't have enough coins to win himself so he donated his to Frankie in the hope that she would trust him.

There had been an easter egg hinting about The Seer twist in episode nine with a book on the shelf with that title. It is borrowed from the game Werewolf. The Seer is the villager who is given the power by the moderator to find out whether another player is a villager or a werewolf. The Seer must use the knowledge to help the others without becoming a target.

Frankie won the extraordinary power that could turn the game on its head. She chose to speak to Charlotte in a secret room because of their alliance. Of course, Charlotte is a Traitor. The Traitors viewers were left to find out what will go down when Frankie gets this knowledge.

  • Where is The Traitors filmed?

The Traitors is filmed in Ardross Castle which is set against the beautiful backdrop of the Scottish highlands. The 19th century Baronial-style castle is located north of Inverness, near the River Alness.

The current owners bought the stunning estate in 1983 and have worked to restore it to its former glory.

Ardross castle is magnificent, it's the perfect gothic setting for a murder mystery. It has dark hallways, a labyrinth of rooms, a stunning breakfast room. It only adds to the drama of the filming, with the huge roundtable being one of the central parts of the BBC show.

Banished contestant Livi said of the scenery in Scotland: "I just wanted to go out and have one more time there to just look at our surroundings and I feel like I took that for granted. I was so in this game and really we're in such a beautiful environment and I should have just appreciated that more."

  • Who left The Traitors last night?

Newly recruited Traitor Freddie was the latest to leave The Traitors, saying goodbye to his friends at the Scottish castle.

Charlotte tricked Freddie into trying to murder friend Leanne, who she knew had the shield instantly putting suspicion on him and Alexander. The politics student got caught up in a web of lies as he tried to find a way out.

He exclusively told Yahoo: "Charlotte is playing it brilliantly, to be fair. If it wasn't me that was on the receiving end, if I was an audience I'd be like, 'Wow, I rate that that's sick.' But obviously I was the one that was on the receiving end of that, so it wasn't that sick.

"When I had to stand up there and say 'I'm a Traitor' and you can't say, 'In bracket, only for a day, I've not even murdered anyone, so hardly a Traitor.' What can you do?

"I thought potentially Charlotte would throw me under the bus but in a way of dropping some seeds with my name. Everyone thought it was me for the whole thing anyway, so that wouldn't be that hard, but I didn't expect to walk into the door and it would be straight in my face. That's why I crumbled so much because I just didn't expect it. Maybe that's me being naive."
