Rumours continue to swirl about the players that Liverpool could target during this summer's transfer window.

The Reds are preparing for the first season in the post-Jurgen Klopp era after the German's exit from the Anfield dugout. Tuesday night saw thousands of Liverpool fans head to the M&S Bank Arena to give their final goodbye to Klopp before he leaves Merseyside.

Arne Slot will be Liverpool's new head coach this summer when he officially takes on the job on June 1. Already there have been rumours about the possible new signings that may be completed between now and when the window closes later this summer.

The latest rumours claim that Liverpool are in the running to sign a new centre-back and a midfielder. It remains to be seen if any of the speculation proves to be accurate, though.

According to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, Liverpool are stepping up their interest in signing Atalanta midfielder Ederson. The Brazilian has been rumoured to be a potential target for the Reds over the last few weeks.

Ederson starred for Atalanta in the Europa League final, and now reports are claiming that he could move to Liverpool this summer. The report claims that the midfielder is "in the sights" of the Reds, with new sporting director Richard Hughes likely to have a role to play in the potential deal having had a spell at Atalanta during his playing career.

Elsewhere, Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Juventus defender Dean Huijsen. According to Tutto Juve, the Reds are one of three clubs who could move to sign the centre-back.

The report claims that Liverpool are joined Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund in weighing up a move for Huijsen, who enjoyed his breakthrough season in Serie A this term. The 19-year-old spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Roma, where he made 14 appearances in all competitions.

It has been stated, though, that Huijsen is more likely to remain at Juve next season to work with new manager Thiago Motta. However, the report does claim that the defender could leave this summer if a "monstrous offer" is made by a club such as Liverpool.
