Joel Matip has been taken to hospital to undergo tests on a shoulder injury during Liverpool's 1-0 Champions League win over Napoli

Matip was injured during a collision in the closing stages of the game, and was taken to hospital for further tests.

Mohamed Salah's strike at Anfield ensured Liverpool are through to the last-16 of the Champions League, but Matip was not the only player to suffer as Trent Alexander-Arnold also picked up a potential injury problem.

Alexander-Arnold departed in the 90th minute with an apparent foot injury, while James Milner also went off with cramp.

Following the match, Klopp said of his players: “I’m not sure. Nobody told me anything about [Joel’s] shoulder, so hopefully that’s a good sign.
