Liverpool will be looking to return to winning ways when they make the trip to AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday. Arne Slot suffered his first defeat in charge of the Reds when they were defeated 1-0 by Nottingham Forest at Anfield over the weekend.

Callum Hudson-Odoi's second-half strike proved the difference as Liverpool were beaten for the first time this season, ending their perfect start in the Premier League. The Reds have dropped down to fourth, with Newcastle and Arsenal leapfrogging them and sitting behind leaders Manchester City.

However, the Reds will be eager to respond when they head to Milan in their Champions League curtain-raiser. Liverpool return to Europe's elite club competition after a one-year absence and can get their league campaign off to a positive start, with the Reds getting a taste of the new format for the first time.

While their focus is on the field for the time being, there have been rumours over potential transfers off it, although the window closed only three weeks ago. With this in mind, here is the latest news from Anfield...

Bade twist

Despite the links to Liverpool, it appears unlikely former Nottingham Forest defender Loic Bade leaves Sevilla any time soon. The France international is said to have been mooted as a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk at Liverpool but there could be some difficulty in getting him to join.

According to a report via Football Espana, the 24-year-old has had offers from Italy and France though he has no desire to leave Sevilla nor push for an exit.

Tah transfer boost

Liverpool look to have been handed a Jonathan Tah transfer boost. The Reds recently emerged as an option for the Germany international after his planned move to Bayern Munich failed to materialise.

The Bayer Leverkusen star sees his contract expire next summer with it very possible he leaves as a free agent and the latest update seems to suggest he won't be joining Bayern.

"We do not have any deal agreed with Tah for 2025," Bayern director Max Eberl told Sport1, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano. "He's German international, big role at Bayer. That's it. I'm extremely happy with Kim and Upamecano."
