Liverpool could be placed on alert after reports that Crystal Palace may turn to Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville should they lose Michael Olise this summer.

The Reds have been frequently linked with right-sided attackers in recent months with the uncertainty surrounding Mohamed Salah's future on Merseyside. Last summer, there was a public pursuit of the Egyptian from the Middle East after the Saudi Pro League raided the Premier League in the hunt for the stars of the English top-flight.

This summer, the 31-year-old will be entering the final 12 months of his contract at Anfield while the club move into a new chapter under new head coach Arne Slot, who officially began his role on Saturday (June 1).

The Mirror has reported that Oliver Glasner's side could turn their attention to Leeds attacker Summerville should one of their star forwards leave this summer. Liverpool have been credited as one of the teams interested in the Dutchman, while Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle admire Olise with Manchester City and Tottenham eyeing Eze.

The Red Devils are considered as front-runners to sign the Frenchman, ESPN reported at the beginning of May. Olise was a star performer for Palace as they enjoyed an end-of-season surge under Glasner, after he replaced Roy Hodgson.

Palace all but ended Liverpool's title hopes as they stunned the Reds in a 1-0 win at Anfield. Olise featured that day, and it has been suggested that the 22-year-old has a release clause in his contract that becomes active at the end of the season - raising the interest of United minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe

The report claimed that sources told ESPN that United are front of the queue to sign Olise but Liverpool are among the clubs credited with an interest, as well as Arsenal with both clubs able to offer the prospect of Champions League football.

Fresh reports from the Mirror on Sunday morning, regarding Palace weighing up alternatives in the event of a sale, may spark a scramble for Olise's signature. From Liverpool's perspective, any move would likely hinder on the future of Salah - who dropped a hint over his future at the end of the season, citing that the Reds will "do everything" to land silverware in Slot's first season in charge.
