Arne Slot will be busy preparing for his first summer transfer window as Liverpool's head coach.

Slot will replace Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield dugout when he officially takes on the role on June 1. Work will already be underway behind the scenes around what transfer business Liverpool will conduct this summer.

Even before the window has opened, the Reds have been linked with several potential new signings. It was 12 months ago that Liverpool brought Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, Wataru Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai to Merseyside.

The latest transfer rumours concern the possibility that Liverpool could sign a forward and a centre-back. The ECHO takes a look at the latest pieces of speculation centred around potential new signings for the Reds.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool remain interested in signing Lille defender Leny Yoro. The 18-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks, with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain also supposedly interested.

The report claims, though, that Liverpool's chances of signing Yoro will be dependent on Lille's asking price. It has been stated no club, including the Reds, is yet aware of the fee that the Ligue 1 outfit would demand to let Yoro leave this summer.

Elsewhere, Liverpool reportedly remain in the race to sign Juventus star Federico Chiesa. The Reds have been intermittently linked with the signing of the Italy international ever since he starred at the European Championships in 2021.

According to Tuttosport, via Milan News, Juventus may look to sell Chiesa this summer with his current contract set to expire in 2025. No price tag has been mentioned for the 26-year-old, with Juventus and the player reportedly unable to reach an agreement over a contract extension.

Liverpool are mentioned in the report as the team that are most likely to sign the versatile forward this summer, where they could take advantage of Chiesa's contract situation. Bayern Munich and Roma have also been credited with an interest in signing Chiesa.
