Liverpool are already being linked with potential new signings ahead of the summer transfer window.

Arne Slot is just days away from officially taking on the role of head coach of the Reds. Slot will replace Jurgen Klopp, who will leave the club this summer after nearly nine years as Liverpool manager.

This summer will see new sporting director Richard Hughes and Fenway Sports Group's CEO of football, Michael Edwards, oversee the summer recruitment. Slot will also be tasked with taking charge of his first pre-season as head coach at Anfield ahead of his first season in charge.

With the summer transfer window just weeks away from officially opening, Liverpool are being tipped to make a move for several possible new additions to their squad. The latest reports concern updates about two defenders.

According to 90min, Liverpool still hold an interest in signing Eintracht Frankfurt defender Willian Pacho. Reports first emerged during the final weeks of the season, claiming that the Reds wanted to bring the 21-year-old to Anfield this summer.

It has been claimed, though, that Liverpool are under the impression that they are not likely to be able to sign Pacho this summer. Despite this, there remains a "strong interest" from the Reds in signing Pacho at some stage.

Elsewhere, another report has provided an update on Liverpool's reported pursuit of Feyenoord defender David Hancko. According to the Daily Mail, the Reds are no longer interested in bringing the centre-back to Anfield this summer.

The report claims that the Reds have turned down the chance to sign Hancho in what would have been a reunion with Slot, who was his manager until recently at Feyenoord. As a result, it has been stated that newly-promoted Leicester City will make a move to sign Hancko this summer.
