Liverpool on Jamal Musiala transfer alert over £120m move after offer 'rejected'
Jamal Musiala has reportedly rejected the latest contract offer from Bayern Munich to stay at the German giants. Liverpool are reputedly keen on the former Chelsea academy player but seemingly face competition from Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Musiala, 21, is in the final two years of his contract and last renewed his deal with the club in 2021, soon after breaking into their first team. Since then, the attacking midfielder has established himself as one of the best players in the Bundesliga.
That form translated to the European Championship with Germany this summer. Musiala finished it in the team of the tournament and as the joint top goalscorer despite the hosts not progressing past the quarter-finals.

The Express reports that Musiala wants to be paid £300k per week on a new deal amid claims that his advisors believe that would better reflect his standing within the sport. He, however, was not among the 30 nominees for the Ballon d'Or, unlike his Bayern teammate Harry Kane. The England captain reportedly earns £400k-a-week in Munich.
Talks are still seemingly taking place between Musiala and the club. However, there are said to be fears in Bavaria that they may not be able to compete financially with City or Madrid. Bayern have previously lost David Alaba and Toni Kroos to the Spanish giants.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl spoke about Musiala only yesterday. "The fact is that we have been exchanging ideas for months," Eberl said. "We will sit down and talk; we will do this in our own time.
"Jamal knows what he has at Bayern, but we also know what we have in Jamal. He should become one of the mainstays at Bayern.
"We want to win the Champions League; we want to win national titles. Our aspirations will help Jamal garner his own personal rewards."
City have reportedly been tracking Musiala for the last year, with their former player Vincent Kompany recently becoming Bayern's new head coach. However, the Reds - plus Arsenal and United - are also considered competition despite Madrid appearing to be City's main rivals.
