Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for RB Leipzig star Dani Olmo.

The Reds are yet to make any new signings ahead of Arne Slot's first season as head coach. Slot will officially take charge at Anfield on June 1, where he will replace Jurgen Klopp in the dugout on Merseyside.

Several potential new signings have already been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer. Olmo is one such player whose name continues to be doing the rounds on the Reds rumour mill in recent weeks.

According to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool are joined by Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Manchester United in showing an interest in signing Olmo. The report goes a step further by claiming that the Reds have already shown an interest in trying to sign the Spain international this summer.

Olmo is contracted to Leipzig until 2027 after signing a four-year extension before the start of the season. The 26-year-old first moved to the Bundesliga club in 2020 from Dinamo Zagreb and previously spent time at Barcelona's famed La Masia academy during his youth career.

Reports have speculated that Olmo has a €60 million (£51 million) release clause in his contract at Leipzig. However, there are some suggestions that the clause may have a deadline of July 15 this year, which could prompt interested clubs to make a move.

Barcelona have also been linked with signing Olmo a decade after he left the club to move to Dinamo Zagreb. The playmaker, who scored eight goals with five assists for Leipzig this season, is set to star for Spain at this summer's European Championships.

It remains to be seen if Leipzig and Olmo would want a decision over his future before or after this summer's tournament. Liverpool will begin their pre-season preparations in July, where Slot will have games against Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United in the United States.
