Liverpool ONE Halloween street party start time, date and activities

Liverpool ONE has confirmed the return of its annual Halloween street party. Taking place on Sunday, October 27, the party is free to attend and offers visitors plenty of interactive opportunities.

The family-friendly event will see the shopping complex filled with spooky characters, street performances and heart-pounding music along the way. There's also a fancy dress competition where all ages, including adults, can win prizes for the most creative costumes.

Liverpool ONE's Halloween street party takes place on Sunday, 27 October, from 11am until 5pm. The thunderous Katumba band will close the event. Below is everything you need to know about the spooky take over.

Katumba Performances

The thunderous Katumba band make their annual return. Every year drummers take to the streets and bring the shopping complex to life with heart-pounding rhythms and beats.

Visitors can even take up the chance to drum along with the band during one of their performances. Katumba will close the Halloween street party. Liverpool ONE advises dog owners to refrain from, taking their pets to the parade due to loud noise levels.

Spooky entertainment

Zombie dancers from MD Productions will create flash mobs throughout the complex. There'll also be a chance to learn the steps in interactive dance sessions.

Visitors are welcome to join in with the zombies during their performances. Spooky entertainment and characters will also line the street for plenty of photo opportunities.

Fancy Dress Competition

Adults are invited to show off their spookiest outfits in the Halloween costume contest. In the form of a Liverpool ONE gift card, first place will receive £200, second place will receive £100, and third place will receive £50.

There will be more spot prizes on the day for impressive costumes. To enter, head to South John Street on Sunday, October 27, from 12pm to 3pm. Please ensure you enter on time to avoid any disappointment. Entries cannot be accepted after 3pm.

Children's Fancy Dress Competition

There will also be a competition specifically for children to enter. The best dressed will be rewarded with a £2,000 Liverpool ONE gift card and spot prizes for freaky costumes.

Fancy Dress Rules

Liverpool ONE will judge the competition based on the creativity of the outfit or group of costumes. This competition is part of Liverpool ONE’s family event therefore all costumes must be suitable for a family audience. Liverpool ONE reserves the right not to allow participants in inappropriate or bad-taste costumes to enter.

Please don’t bring knives or guns as part of your costume, you won’t be allowed to enter the competition with these. This includes plastic or any other material versions of these.

Children under 16 years old must be accompanied and supervised at all times by their parent or guardian. Children under 16 cannot enter the fancy dress competition without a parent or guardian.

Parents/guardians of competition entrants under 16 years old must complete and sign the entry form for their child to take part.

Children and adults will be filmed and photographed as part of the fancy dress competition and the footage may be used for future promotional purposes across the Liverpool ONE website and social media pages. By taking part you consent to your or your child’s image being used.
