Liverpool 'Research' Dance Party Draws Crowd to Bramley-Moore Dock

A nightclub trial run kicked off in Liverpool as crowds attended the first of two dance parties at Bramley-Moore Dock on Friday, April 30.

The national Events Research Programme (ERP) planned to host club nights and concerts to test the safety of mass gatherings. The trial will examine the risk of COVID transmission at large-scale events, according to the Liverpool Echo.

‘The First Dance,’ hosted by Circus, required attendees to take “LFT COVID tests” to gain entry. The ticket site reads, “Anyone who has missed the excitement of being with other people in a club environment is invited to a beautiful and spacious warehouse to dance the night away without the need to socially distance.” Masks were optional.
