Liverpool venue opens three new areas as 'vision' realised
Work has been completed on Blackstock Market's two final performance spaces and a new private function room. The venue was opened back in April by Hot Water Comedy founders Paul and Binty Blair.
The two performance spaces, The Wally’s Room Theatre and The Barn, boast capacities of 227 and 147 respectively. They will be used to facilitate the venue's upcoming autumn schedule featuring household names and rising comedy stars.
The new private function space, Lily's Lounge, includes a bar and is suitable for parties, weddings and special events catering to up to 140 people. Discussing the new additions, Paul Blair said: "It’s brilliant to finally have all three of our theatre spaces up and running.

"We can now programme even more shows and welcome almost 1,000 comedy fans on any one night to enjoy some of the best and biggest talent on the current comedy scene. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response since Blackstock Market opened six months ago.
"We had a vision for the site, and it’s not only been realised but has exceeded our expectations. People have really embraced everything the venue has to offer, and it’s attracting thousands of all ages through the doors every week."
Blackstock Market houses multiple food and drink traders alongside a 589-seat Hot Water auditorium. The venue also recently opened a vintage Whiskey & Water bar boasting more than 400 liquor options.
Still to come is a rooftop terrace which will be the largest in Liverpool, capable of hosting 200 guests. The terrace is on course to open early next year.
