Liverpool vs PSG team news and starting line-ups: Roberto Firmino on the bench for Champions League tie

Roberto Firmino will start Liverpool’s meeting with Paris Saint-Germain this evening from the bench after failing to recover from the eye injury he picked up against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Brazilian underwent hospital treatment as a result of a clash with Jan Vertonghen during the Reds’ 2-1 victory at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

And, after missing yesterday’s training session at Melwood, he has been replaced in the starting XI by Daniel Sturridge as the Champions League returns to Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp makes one other change from the weekend’s game in the capital, with captain Jordan Henderson replacing Naby Keita in the centre of the park.

Henderson had started just one of Liverpool’s first five games of the new season - away at Leicester City - but returns for the visit of the French champions.
