Liverpool weather live updates as Met Office issues yellow warning
Liverpool and the rest of the region will be hit by heavy rain today. The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for the whole of Merseyside today, Monday, September 30.
It will be in place from 12.30am on Monday, September 30 to 8pm the same day. Forecasters said heavy rain is expected to cause some flooding and disruption in places on Monday.
The forecaster warns there may be flooding of a few homes and businesses, spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer and bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer.

The Met Office said between 20 to 40 mm of rain is expected to fall quite widely with a few places seeing up to 60 mm during the course of the day. We will be bringing you the latest weather updates for Merseyside here.
