The Lobster iPhone case: Probably the most impractical case you will ever see. iPhone, Phones, iPhone cases 0

Inspired by a Salvador Dali quote, that goes along the lines of "I do not understand why, when I ask for a grilled lobster in a restaurant, I am never served a cooked telephone" one designer has taken those words a little too much to heart and created just that; a lobster phone.

"The red 'Lobster Mobile Telephone Case' is a modern appropriation of Salvador Dali's 'Lobster Telephone' (Aphrodisiac telephone), created in 1938," writes Elliot Gorham, aka Noddy Boffin, a Melbourne based designer/maker.

"Unlike the typical phone case, it doesn't offer functionality of protection and style. Its features include; camera incapability, ergonomically awkward, too big for your pocket or handbag and most importantly, it's ability to cause its users embarrassment.

Designed as a bit of fun rather than an attempt to make Gorham rich, Gorman does promise one thing however:

"Like most mobile phone cases, it does offer the illusion individualism.

Bonkers.
