That Logan black-and-white cut sounded like a very tantalising prospect when it was teased last week.
And we now know that it is most definitely happening, with director James Mangold confirming that fans will be able to see the cut when it is released on Blu-Ray.
"It is something we are doing," he said, confirming his previous hints to Deadline.
Mangold also revealed that the black-and-white production still shots that we saw months ago spurred him on to do a full version.
"I think it even surprised everyone to the degree that there is a kind of a running assumption that black and white is a turn-off for most people," the director explained.
"It caused such an extreme reaction, and so much appreciation for these pictures, and then people immediately wondering if the film itself was going to be in black and white, and so we are giving it a whirl, and I think the Blu-ray will come out with a pass on it."
He added: "I think it will be a very handsome black-and-white version of the picture."
Logan has impressed critics across the board, and has enjoyed the biggest opening at the US box office so far this year, raking in $85.3 million in its debut weekend.
Globally, it has already grossed $247.4 million, including a $46.2 million debut in China.
Logan is in cinemas now.
