‘Loki’ Takes No. 6 Among Nielsen Streaming Originals With Season 2 Debut; ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Sees Resurgence
It’s starting to seem like Suits may never give up its throne.
The legal drama once again sat atop Nielsen’s streaming charts for the week of September 25 to October 1. While viewership is still dropping steadily, the series clocked 1.3B minutes viewed across Netflix and Peacock during this interval, which indicates that it still has quite the audience.

The only other title to crack 1B minutes viewed was Grey’s Anatomy, which had been flirting with that threshold recently. In its second week at No. 2, the series tallied just north of 1B viewing minutes for only the second time ever. The first was in March 2020, when everyone was scrambling for things to binge in the early days of the coronavirus pandemic.
It’s unclear what, exactly, is prompting this resurgence for Grey’s. Season 19 landed on Netflix in June, so it’s a bit late for that to be boosting the series’ viewership. The medical drama is a staple on Nielsen’s streaming charts, but it is rare for it to see the large weekly viewership it has been getting in the past two intervals.
The rest of the overall list was dominated by acquired content. In fact, the only streaming original on the overall list this week was Love Is Blind. Two new episodes of Season 5 were released in this interval, pushing the series to No. 5 on the list with 821M viewing minutes.
Disney+ had a lot to celebrate, claiming three titles on the overall list — Haunted Mansion, Bluey and Elemental. It’s a rare occasion that the streamer finds itself in this position, with only a few other instances since its inception. The last time it happened was April 2022 when Encanto, Moon Knight and Turning Red all received the honor.
Among streaming originals, Disney+ also boasted Ahsoka at No. 2 and Loki at No. 6. Season 2 of Loki debuted during this interval, generating 446M viewing minutes. For context, the series premiered in June 2021 to 731M viewing minutes in its first week.
There’s a good chance that Loki viewership might grow over the next week or so, but at this rate it is unlikely to reach the viewership that Season 1 earned.
