Glorious temperatures in London will reach highs of 23C this weekend.

Saturday is expected to fetch 22C while Sunday is predicted to be slightly warmer at 23C.

Pollen levels will be very high this weekend in many southern and eastern parts of the UK where the weather is warm over the weekend.

The Met Office forecaster said: “Pollen levels will be high or very high this weekend in many southern and eastern parts of the UK where the weather is dry and warm.

“It is peak grass pollen season so hay fever sufferers may need to take precautions.”

Met Office forecaster Simon Patridge said there will be a breeze lingering on Saturday - some winds gusting up to 30 miles an hour - which is unusual for this time of year.

Some showers are also set to put a damper on any outdoor plans in Wales and the Midlands - with some local, heavy showers expected.

The wind and rain is set to ease on Sunday, making it the better pick of the bunch this weekend.

But sadly, not everyone is in for a summer treat.

Gale force winds and rain is expected in parts of Western Scotland where temperatures will drop a whole 10C cooler than the national high.

Temperatures will only reach 13 or 14C on Scotland’s west coast, Mr Partridge said.

Average national temperatures will cool off slightly in the evenings from Sunday but a heatwave in Spain and France is expected to travel across to the UK by the middle of next week, the Met Office said.
