For anyone looking for the ultimate pick-me-up, a London bar is giving away 500 free espresso martinis next week in the name of sustainability.

From October 31, a free coffee cocktail will be available to anyone who purchases a reusable KeepCup at the Refinery in Regent’s Place, as part of Ketel One vodka's month-long residency there.

According to KeepCup, one million disposable cups are discarded to landfill every minute, so organisers hope that selling the reusable cups – selling for £10 – will inspire customers to be mindful of sustainability.

The free espresso martinis will only be available on a first come, first served basis and once they're gone, they're gone – so organisers are advising thirsty Londoners head over early in the month.

The pop-up bar will also offer a selection of zero-waste cocktails that have been created using leftover products, including wonky fruit and vegetables, out of date coffee and flat champagne.

Throughout the month, masterclasses will also take place, offering practical advice on mixing sustainable cocktails at home.

The residency will run from October 31 until November 24.
