Yahoo News London is crowned most popular city in the world for work
London has been crowned as the most desirable city in the world for work, according to a new study.
The capital beat New York and Berlin to become the number one city that people would like to move to for work.
However, the UK as a whole has fallen behind as a desirable destination for overseas workers following the Brexit vote.
The study was conducted by Total Jobs and Boston Consulting Group and surveyed almost 400,000 people from 200 countries.

London retained its position as the most desirable city in the world after topping the survey four years ago.
The study found that London’s attractiveness “does not appear to have been impacted by Brexit.”
Mike Booker, International Director at Totaljobs said: “While the UK may have lost some of its lustre, London remains the number one destination for talent worldwide post-Brexit. London’s enduring attractiveness does not appear to have been impacted by the European referendum, and the city’s cosmopolitan reputation as a welcoming, open city for overseas workers remains."
However, the UK as a whole has become a less attractive destination for those seeking employment abroad, dropping three places from second to fifth in the country rankings.
The US topped the list of countries with Germany and Canada in second and third place while Australia came in fourth.
It also found that more Brits are willing to move abroad for work following the Brexit vote.
60 percent of Brits are open to moving abroad, up from 44 percent in 2014.
For many, Australia is the most popular destination while the US is also an attractive destination.
Nick South, Partner in The Boston Consulting Group’s London office said: “This research demonstrates the scale of the talent challenge facing organisations in the UK. Despite London’s enduring appeal, the UK as a whole has become less attractive to international workers, with a fall from second to fifth place in the rankings.
"It is critical for UK private and public sector organisations to get on the front foot and proactively take steps to attract and retain top class talent to ensure their future success.”
