Fashion fans rejoice, for real-life runway shows are set to return to the capital in September.
Featuring a mix of men’s and womenswear designers, London Fashion Week will take place as a physical-digital hybrid event running from Friday 17 to Tuesday 21 September 2021.
And today The British Fashion Council (BFC) has released the provisional line-up for the event, which features over 100 confirmed participating designers who will present new collections. More names will be added over the next few weeks, with a provisional schedule to be released mid-July with specific information regarding the format of each showcase (physical, digital or both).
At the moment there are a few big names missing, among them Burberry, Vivienne Westwood and Shrimps, however these brands may still confirm their places on the schedule.
The September event will incorporate a mix of catwalk shows, presentations, appointments and events throughout London in addition to digital content shared on the London Fashion Week site.
The BFC will also celebrate the reopening of London by relaunching a city-wide celebration programme across the capital, making the best of British fashion accessible to consumers, supporting retail to get back on its feet and opening London Fashion Week to new audiences and communities. This schedule of events will be open to all, and will include events and activations in partnership with key retailers, cultural institutions, and businesses.
A full schedule of activities and how to get involved will be announced later in the summer.
