The London Marathon is less than two weeks away with some of the world's best runners set to compete against each other.
Around 40,000 athletes, celebrities and elite amateurs will descend on the capital to take on the 26.2 mile race across its streets.
It is one of the biggest events in the global running calendar.
With this in mind, here is everything you need to know about the Virgin Money London Marathon 2019.
When is the London Marathon?
The marathon will take place on Sunday, April 28.
It will be shown on the BBC throughout the day, including BBC One and BBC Sport Online.
When does the marathon start?
The different race categories will be staggered throughout the morning.
The elite wheelchair race kicks off at 9.05am, the World Para Athletics Marathon World Cup is at 9.10am and the elite women's race starts at 9.25am.
The elite men’s race, British Athletics & England Athletics Marathon Championships, and the mass race start at 10.10am. It’s later than a lot of races, but it’s also much bigger, so you’ll want to get there early to avoid the crowds.
Do they receive any prize money?
A new sprint competition has launched in this year's elite wheelchair races called the Flying 400, which will have a £23,000 prize fund and starts just after the 20km point on the north side of Tower Bridge, finishing on East Smithfield.
The fastest athlete between these two points of the course will win £8,000 and the second-fastest £3,800.
Meanwhile, first place in both of the elite races was £42,000, with second place winning £23,000 and third £17,000.
Overall, a total of £120,000 is up for grabs split across the first 12 places.
How many miles is the London Marathon? What distance is it?
Runners will race a 26.2 mile route through the capital, starting in Blackheath before heading east through Woolwich.
The route will then take runners past the Cutty Sark in Greenwich before it heads along Embankment to Parliament Square and finishing on the Mall in front of Buckingham Palace.
The finish area is all around St James’ Park and Horse Guards Parade.
