London Overground to run additional late night service for Anthony Joshua-Wladimir Klitschko fight

London Overground will run an additional late night service on Saturday to cater for fans attending Anthony Joshua's heavyweight title fight against Wladimir Klitschko.

The bout will be staged at Wembley Stadium and a record crowd is set to be in attendance after Mayor of London Sadiq Khan helped to pave the way for the venue's capacity to be boosted to 90,000.

Officials from Network Rail, Transport for London and Wembley Stadium were all brought together to ensure fans will be able to make their way home from the event, which has a 22:50 curfew, with minimal fuss.

Wembley Central and Wembley Park are both located within a 15 minute walk of the ground and represent the route that will used by the majority of supporters using public transport.

Additional late night London Overground trains will run in both directions, calling only at Watford Junction, Harrow & Wealdstone, Wembley Central, Willesden Junction, Queen’s Park and Euston.

Fans have been advised to arrive at Wembley Central by 00:45 with trains set to run until 01:00. Major boxing events have a tendency to overrun but the timetable means fans will have ample time to reach the station.

Wembley Park, which is located on the Jubilee Underground line, will be served by the Night Tube Service. Trains will run on average every 10 minutes across the entire line (Stanmore to Stratford) throughout the night.

The Victoria, Central, Northern and Piccadilly lines will also run a full Night Tube Service.
