London Pride 2019: Billy Porter to headline the Trafalgar Square Pride in London stage

Grammy and Tony Award winner Billy Porter will grace our stages this summer for the biggest LGBTQ+ celebration of the year.

The Pose star and red carpet winner of this year’s Met Gala takes to the Trafalgar Square stage to wrap up festivities after the Pride parade on July 6.

More than 100 performers join Porter on the line-up of artists appearing on five stages across the capital, including Eurovision and the X Factor singer Saara Aalto and RuPaul’s Drag Race rebel Willam.

The main stage runs throughout the day, opening in the morning with snippets of the West End from the casts of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and new Britney and Backstreet Boys-based show & Juliet. The London Musical Theatre Orchestra will play a selection of songs from Waitress, featuring new star Lucie Jones. The best acts of the Pride’s Got Talent contest final will also perform, with winner Henry Newbury singing in the evening.

Performances will be intertwined with speeches by influential LGBTQ+ figures including Stonewall charity founder Lisa Power.

Elsewhere, the women’s stage, cabaret stage, community village and, a new addition, the world area, will showcase new and emerging voices.

Access to all of the stages is free. For a full line-up, head to prideinlondon.org
