A Level results day is just around the corner, and parents will be anxious to know how their child has performed and what this means for their future. The culmination of two years of hard work, A Levels are often used by universities to decide whether to reject or accept a young person's application.

This year, results will be released on Thursday, August 15 and they will be available for collection from your child's school or college from around 8am. UCAS hub, where university application results are released, will also be updated at around 8.15am.

But it's not just an important day for students, but for schools and colleges as well. A school's A Level results are often used by parents to help them decide where to send their children for sixth form and college. So, here's a guide to London's best performing sixth forms and colleges, based on results from the academic year 2022-23. Below is a list of the best performing schools and colleges in England, with London represented in four of the top five performers.
