London tour bus 'collides with man' outside Waterloo Station with air ambulance dispatched

A man has been 'hit by a London tour bus' outside Waterloo Station. He has been rushed to a major trauma centre after sustaining injuries.

An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene. MyLondon has seen a photo online showing a City Sightseeing and City Tour London bus - number 15003 - with a smashed windscreen.

The post read: "Pedestrian hit by bus York Road Waterloo." A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 10.58am today (Friday, September 13) to reports of a road traffic collision on York Road.

"We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. Our first crews arrived on scene in approximately two minutes.

“We treated a man at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre.” The Metropolitan Police Service said it had nothing to add.
