Londoners are set to bask in scorching temperatures hotter than Ibiza this weekend as glorious sunshine hits the capital.
The mercury will hit 24C across London on Sunday, fully 10C higher than the average reading for early April, according to the Met Office.
Experts say the balmy conditions will see the mercury peak at 21C on Saturday – hotter than Ibiza where temperatures won’t climb higher than 18C.
The sunshine will lift spirits as betting fans splash their cash on the famous Grand National horse race on Saturday.
And London’s parks are expected to pack out as the high temperatures carry on over the course of the weekend.
Forecaster Emma Boorman, of the Met Office, said: “It’s going to be a pretty glorious weekend.
“There were a few patches of fog on Saturday morning, but that has cleared and we will see unbroken sunshine throughout the day.
“Temperatures in the capital are to reach 21C [on Saturday], and another very warm day on Sunday, with pleasant sunshine and top temperatures of 24C."
