Londoner Creates Clever Workout Routine Using Toilet Paper

A London woman has created a home workout routine inspired by the toilet paper-stockpiling that has marked the reaction to the coronavirus in the UK and elsewhere.

In a video posted online on March 17, Taslima Khan uses toilet rolls she had stockpiled to execute a number of exercise drills.

With toilet rolls becoming a much sought-after product in the UK, following a global trend brought on by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, shoppers swarmed to supermarkets in a bid to buy enough toilet roll to outlast a possible public lockdown.

However, some shoppers may have attained a supply of toilet paper surplus to their needs, and Khan showed them just how to make use of the extra rolls with her workout routine using her own abundant supply.

On March 23, Prime Minister Boris Johnson declared a “moment of national emergency” and pleaded with UK citizens to stay within their homes in an address to the nation live on television. He also ordered the closure of all businesses selling non-essential goods and services, including gyms. Credit: Taslima Khan via Storyful
