The Old Selfridges Hotel hosted the Erdem LFW show yesterday, and achieved the unthinkable: a smile from the usually frosty Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

She wasn’t the only one to be impressed. Guests at the event included White Cube founder Jay Jopling with art curator Hikari Yokoyama.

Also there was BFC chairman Natalie Massenet, with Selfridges marketing director Tania Foster Brown.

In The Devil Wears Prada, the book and film at least partly inspired by Wintour, there is only one smile on record from the icy fashion editor Miranda Priestly. Cut out and keep, readers, this could be it.
