The National Burger Award finalists for 2025 have been announced with seven out of 16 spots being located in London. The awards recognises not just an exceptional burger, but the chef who created it too, with the final of the competition requiring the chefs to recreate their standout burger, a plant based burger, and finally, participate in a technical challenge in which they must make a burger with ingredients chosen by sponsors to the awards.
The final, seeing big name restaurants like Tom Kerridge’s ‘Butcher’s Tap and Grill’ take on indie darlings will take place in London’s Big Penny Social, a venue and pub located near Blackhorse Lane, Walthamstow, on February 11. The awards are on a ‘mission to find the purveyor of the UK’s ultimate burger’ and London institutions have a big chance of winning that crown.
