A spokeswoman for East Sussex County Council said: "We are receiving reports that the temporary traffic signals at Exceat Bridge are out and causing delays.

"We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused, a team is on site and will remain in place all day today to manual control the lights."

The traffic lights are in place for multimillion pound works to replace the current Exceat bridge which is 150 years old.
