Long Delays on Highway 50 After Winter Storm Hits Lake Tahoe Region

A winter storm dumped heavy snow across California’s Lake Tahoe region on December 28, causing travel delays.

The California Department of Transportation said Highway 50 reached capacity on Tuesday and strongly discouraged travel. City of South Lake Tahoe officials said 10-hour delays were possible and that gas was running low at local stations.
