Long Line at Alabama Gas Station After Pipeline Cyberattack

Long lines were seen outside gas stations in several southeastern US states on May 10, amid fears of gas shortages due to the shutdown of the Colonial Gas Pipeline following a cyber attack.

The pipeline network ships more than 2.5 million barrels per day of gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, approximately 45 percent of fuel consumption on the East Coast, according to AL.com.

Long lines and gas shortages were reported in Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas.
