Warning: This article contains potential SPOILERS for Fear the Walking Dead season 4. You've been warned.

Fear the Walking Dead is on a high right now, with an acclaimed third season and positive word of mouth.

Although showrunner Dave Erickson has stepped down, there is a lot of interest in season four – and we're getting our first details about the new episodes.

We already knew that Garret Dillahunt and Jenna Elfman have joined the cast as series regulars. But there is a series regular – whose fate was unknown – who might be back as well.

Danay García, who plays Luciana, shared this Instagram snap earlier in the week.

It may seem like an ordinary picture of a hot air balloon, but when combined with Colman Domingo's (Strand) own post, there is potentially more than it first seems.

García and Domingo appear to be at the same location, while production is taking place right now in Austin, Texas.

It is impossible to confirm anything – maybe García was just visiting. Maybe it's a deliberate attempt to mislead fans.

But there is a possibility for sure that we will be seeing Luciana again (besides a dream sequence) for the first time since season 3 episode 5, when she decided to leave the Otto ranch.

The third season ended in a cliffhanger, as several other characters' fates were left uncertain.

As the dam was blown up, main characters Nick, Alicia, and Daniel – as well as Strand – were possibly killed (but we have a sneaking suspicion that they will emerge alive next season). Madison is the only regular character certain to have survived.

Elsewhere, rumours of Walking Dead character Abraham making an appearance on Fear the Walking Dead have been circulating ever since AMC confirmed an upcoming crossover between the two shows.
