A high street clothing store in Aberdeen's Union Square is closing down with a sale launched on items before staff shut up shop for good.

USC, located near Superdrug and Superdry, has informed shoppers of the impending closure, with a 20 per cent sale launched on items.

Signs on the door include details of the sale, with a separate notice on the door reading: "This store will cease trading in June 2024. Please use our website www.usc.co.uk."

USC currently has two locations in Aberdeen, including its Union Square store and a space alongside Sports Direct at Berryden Retail Park.

An exact date for the store's closure is unknown, with USC having been part of the shopping centre since its opening in 2009.

It comes as Frasers Group, who run USC, raises its stake in Hugo Boss after a fall in the German fashion brand’s share price since the start of the year.

Mike Ashley’s retail conglomerate now owns 2.47% of Hugo Boss shares, or 13.9% via the sale of put options.
