Longview branch receives economic development award

LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) – The Longview Economic Development Corporation (LEDCO) received an award of recognition from the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC).

According to a release, the Economic Excellence Recognition award recognizes the professionalism and excellence of LEDCO. The award reportedly encompasses certifications, professional memberships and activities and organizational effectiveness.

“The LEDCO team has worked hard this year on organizational development and strategy, and I am so proud of our efforts and accomplishments.” Wayne Mansfield, LEDCO President/CEO, said.

LEDCO said that after a year of restructuring staff and development of its strategic plan for Longview’s economic development, they were one of 72 recipients for the award across the state.
