Longview Public Library to host winter book sale

LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) – The Longview Public Library is hosting a book sale that starts on Wednesday that will run through Friday.

According to the library, the sale will include donations, gently used books and older library books “that need a new home.”

Each item is $1, excluding marked items, and special sales will be held on certain days.

The following is a list of the book sale’s hours and special sales:

  • Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

  • Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., buy one get one free

  • Friday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., fill a bag for $1 or a box for $2

The library said all sale profits will go to the Friends of the Longview Public Library.

“These funds are used to improve your library, like the brand new bookshelves that replaced the old book towers in the foyer entrance,” the library said in a release.

Cash, check and credit cards will be accepted at the sale.
